Tacos El Gordo on the Strip

This Tijuana-based food chain, which also has a restaurant on 1724 E. Charleston Blvd., is developing a big following for those who want authentic Mexican food at low prices on the Las Vegas Strip. It's just north of the Wynn/Encore resort.
The Las Vegas Weekly's Brock Radke calls it "the best/cheapest late-night grub on the Strip." It's also a favorite late-night pit stop for Yellowtail Chef Michael Chen.
Also, Block 16 executive chef Anthony Meidenbaeur told the Weekly, "the adobada is unbelievable, to die for. And if you order al pastor at other Mexican restaurants, it’s not on the same playing field.”
