Pairing sushi, lobster, grilled cheese and fried chicken will be perfectly acceptable Wednesday night as the South Point hosts a gourmet dinner party that doesn’t require forks to be on the right. From 5- 9 p.m. thousands will scramble to the Gourmet Food Truck Fest: Dinner and a Movie held at South Point’s parking lot on Silverado Ranch Boulevard.

For 20 minutes Nevada Highway Patrol troopers pursued a swerving Dodge truck hauling a trailer Tuesday afternoon traveling northbound on U.S. 95. When the 74-year-old Northern Nevada man driving the truck pulled over near the Craig Road exit he was arrested on suspicion of DUI, said Trooper Loy Hixson.

A North Las Vegas man has been charged with murder in connection with the death of his wife who Metro Police say died from injuries she suffered in a beating.
Douglas Jones, 57, faces felony counts of murder and domestic battery after his wife, Shaunna Jones, 53, was found dead on Jan. 6, according to the Clark County district attorney’s office.
Marijuana plants seized at home owned by retired cop
