Describe your mother-daughter work dynamic.

We work very well together, and we are the first female dealers of a Ferrari and Maserati dealership in North America. We are both very proud of that accomplishment, and hope that it inspires other women, particularly young women in Las Vegas, as they work in or enter a male-dominated field. Our partnership works because we both recognize our own and each other’s strengths, and we have each taken on the roles that best suit those strengths.

The Towbins have been a part of Las Vegas’ automotive industry for decades. What sets this dealership apart from previous establishments?

When we looked for a site to build the showroom, we wanted to channel a more cosmopolitan feel, like the showrooms in Paris, New York City and San Francisco.

The turntable is another cool feature; these cars are works of art, and when you see them on display, it’s like seeing a beautiful painting in the perfect lighting.

In addition to automobile buyers, people come by just to see the cars, and we welcome that.

Who are your clients/customers?

While we certainly have a loyal clientele of the “Who’s Who” in Las Vegas — casino executives, entrepreneurs, local celebrities and business owners — we also work with buyers from around the world. The owners of multiple luxury automobiles will typically develop long-term relationships — they want to work with a dealer who is going to give them an excellent value while understanding their preferences, all while providing personalized experiences.

What’s trending as far as financing vs. leasing luxury vehicles?

Leasing luxury vehicles is definitely a leading trend. Most of our clients purchase new cars every 18-24 months, which makes leasing a popular option to ease the process of upgrading a vehicle. Corporations often purchase vehicles for company use, and leasing is an easy way to write off business expenses without the depreciation of the cars.

What is your business philosophy?

We love this quote — “They may forget what you said — but they will never forget how you made them feel,” by Carl W. Buehner.

What’s the best business advice you’ve received?

My grandfather said, “the harder you work, the luckier you get.” Regardless of background, if you work hard and focus on your dreams, the more opportunities you’re given, driving your goals to fruition.

What is the best part about doing business in Las Vegas?

We love the close-knit community and strong local relationships we’ve built, which has really made this feel like home for our brand. Las Vegas prides itself on providing a luxurious and hospitable experience for millions of visitors annually, and the Ferrari and Maserati brands are built to exude a grand experience. This city is an ever-evolving marketplace, and it is important for us to focus on our brand development and keep up with the ever-changing market developments.
