Artisan Hotel Boutique Hosts "Dining In The Dark" On June 7

ARTISAN HOTEL BOUTIQUE HOSTS “DINING IN THE DARK” ON JUNE 7;
New Dining Event Brings a "Sensual Sensory Exploration of Food" to Las Vegas
Las Vegas, Nevada (April 28, 2012) - Las Vegas will soon be introduced to a new dining experience, The Eclipse Dark Dining Experience(TM) which will take place at Mood Restaurant at the Artisan Hotel Boutique on June 7, 2012 at 6:30pm.
Darnell Lester, Jr., managing partner of Vegas Squared Media Group and event creator characterizes The Eclipse Dark Dining Experience as "a weekly two hour full adventure for our guests' senses sans sight that will allow them to freely experience food in a new and provocative way by focusing on tastes, textures, and aromas." According to Lester, Jr., guests will be led into a dimly lit, ambient music-filled room and served a three-course prixe-fixe "blind" menu showcasing local fine dining restaurants and their talented chefs.
Guests may choose one of four menus - Vermelha(meat-centric), Azul(seafood-centric), Verde(veggie-centric), and Branca(chef's mix) but are not prive to the dish's actual ingredients until after dinner. Lester, Jr. said keeping guests "in the dark" about the ingredients removes preconceived notions of how the meal will taste allowing them to experience the meal for what it is and not for what their eyes perceive it to be.
“We felt that the Artisan is a perfect location for this type of event,” notes Michael Crandall, director of business affairs for The Siegel Group. “The hotel’s atmosphere is dark, sexy and moody, so even before guests enter into the restaurant, the tone for the night will be set from the minute they walk in our front door. “
