New Las Vegas Hospital Has Open House

Kindred Hospital -- Las Vegas at St Rose Dominican Hospitals -- Rose de Lima Campus Welcomes 200 Visitors

Henderson, NV -- On February 9, 2012, an open house was held at the new Kindred Hospital -- Las Vegas at St Rose Dominican Hospitals -- Rose de Lima Campus. Known as a “hospital in hospital,” the new facility is a long-term acute care (LTAC) hospital providing specialized care to medically complex patients who require extended recovery time. The first LTAC hospital in Henderson, the 28-bed facility has six ICU beds and eight intermediate care beds.

About 200 persons attend the event, including representatives of the Henderson chamber of commerce, city council members, a U.S. Congressman and a state senator. Also attending were representatives of Kindred Healthcare and St Rose Dominican Hospitals, local managed care plans and physicians, along with other healthcare community partners.

The event was hosted in the main lobby of the host hospital because the new HIH already had full census. However, tours were hosted on the floor with medical directors and clinical staff. Music for the event was performed by the local Del Webb Middle School string group.
